With a vision to build something remarkable in Louisville’s Germantown neighborhood and a couple of abandoned 100-year-old textile mills to speak of, the development of Bradford Mills Lofts required nothing short of an imaginative eye – and truly imaginative financing. Given the condition of the site, the renovations necessary to meet the community’s growing population and our unwavering commitment to beautifying neighborhoods seemed unattainable at first. But, through perseverance and our previous experience in securing state historic tax credits, Marian found a way.
Developments like Bradford Mills Lofts have helped reinvigorate the Germantown community while lifting the spirits of the residents who now call Bradford Mills home. The neighborhood has experienced a surge in economic activity including new shops and boutiques, and local home owners have even experienced a marked increase in property values since the ribbon cutting.
